Want to help in other ways?
We welcome donations to help offset our budget and make VBS wonderful for the children.

Maybe you are willing to loan or purchase some items we can use in decorating?

Please check back soon for a list of items we are looking for as donations or to borrow for SURF SHACK!

Our Surf Shack Mission Project will have a dual focus. Children will be making gifts in the Craft Hut to give to local organizations in our own community. In addition, we are asking families to contribute items or funds to help us put together CLEANING BUCKETS to send to UMCOR for the many flood victims in our country.

You can help fill a cleaning bucket! This is a hands-on way to help. Please bring any of the requested items below to the Gathering Area throughout the week. You can also donate funds to contribute to the purchase of these items.
Guidelines for Donations to fill buckets:
  • All items must be new.
  • All cleaning agents must be liquid and in plastic containers. No powders, please.
  • If you cannot find the requested size in a liquid item, use a smaller size. Including larger sizes of any item will prevent the lid from sealing.
Items needed to fill buckets:
  • 5-gallon bucket with resealable lid – DONATED BY ACE HARDWARE
  • Liquid laundry detergent (two 25 oz or one 50 oz bottle only)
  • Liquid household cleaner (12-16 oz liquid cleaner that can be mixed with water. No spray cleaners.)
  • Dish soap (16-28 oz bottle, any brand)
  • 1 can air freshener (aerosol or pump)
  • 1 insect repellent spray (6-14 oz aerosol spray pump with protective cover)
  • 18 cleaning wipes (handi wipes or reusable wipes; no terry cleaning towels; remove from packaging
  • 7 sponges (no cellulose sponges due to mold issues; remove from wrapper)
  • 5 scouring pads (no stainless steel, Brillo pads or SOS. Nothing with soap built in; remove from wrapper)
  • 50 clothespins (remove from packaging)
  • Clothesline (two 50 ft or one 100 ft; cotton or plastic)
  • 24-roll heavy duty trashbags (remove from the box)
  • 5 dust masks
  • 2 pair kitchen dishwashing gloves (should be durable enough for multiple uses; remove from packaging)
  • 1 pair work gloves (cotton with leather palm or all leather)

Thank you for your support of this project!
