Lent - Sermon and Study Series

LENT STUDY.jpg

For our 2022 Lent Study, we will read Witness at the Cross by Amy-Jill Levine. The study will begin Sunday, March 6, and continue through April 10.

In the study, we will learn that for each person at the cross Jesus has a meaning and a message and we will look back over the centuries to examine them.

The study will be offered in the Mustard Seed and Seekers classes on Sunday mornings at 10 am and during the Women's Bible Study on Wednesdays at 9 am.

The book is available on Cokesbury and and Amazon as well as other retailers.

This Lent study is part of our ongoing effort as United
Methodists to dismantle racism.

This study, produced by the General Commission on Religion and Race of the UMC, will focus on how our Lent traditions and the work necessary for anti-racism can complement each other. The goal is “anti-racism work which emerges faithfully from engaging in authentic and tradition based
Lenten practices.”

The study will be held via Zoom on Wednesday evenings at 7:00pm March 9 - April 13. Jacqui Rothera and Pastor Rounsley will lead the study.

If you would like to attend please contact Pastor Rounsley  so she can get the study materials and Zoom link to you.
